V for Vendetta was a nice movie. aired on channel 5 on tuesday in the holidays at 1030-1230.

V is the main character, or one of the major supporting characters. And he likes the letter V
when he met the main character Evey. He introduced himself with these words:

You may hear it here:

V for Vendetta: V Speech

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villian by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. (he carves a "V" into a sign) The only verdict is vengence; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. (giggles) Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

The final fight scene was GREAT.
very nicely choreographed knife work.
the movie was rated NC16 for violence and blood (i think) the youtube video of the final fight scene was quite bloody. Channel 5 cut out a lot of the blood.

@Joel
Pity is actually equivalent to depising them.
Anyway, I think there is no point in comparison. Comparison is just too unfair. Look, the iCouncil camp was a 1 day camp and obviously the fees were negotiable. However, the Sarimbun Scouts camp was 3 days 2 night and there fore the couldn't give us free right? However, I think the fee is too exaggerated, just like anti-virus software. In anti-virus software, you pay 100+ bucks just for some box with a cd inside it. However, it can be used for a year(183 times more than Sarimbun).
Since we have to go there to get one LEAPS point, I am left with no choice but to go.

Between these two camps, which is more worthit?
iCouncil Camp
Cost: FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The iCouncil camp was an elimination process meant to seperate the good councillors from the ones who don't meet their expectations. The Chosen ones had to go through team-bonding games, CIP with the CMC, a Thank You party for the Sec 4 Councillors and a movie. Hooray.

Comments: Not very memorable, but it was quite fun overall.

Sarimbun Scoout Camp

Comments: A waste of time and money. $100 for some dirty, low-class place isn't worthit. I've sen what it's like to be in the army and it's much better in there.

The point I would like to make is that, the camp did not suck. Not really--it sucked a bit, but otherwise it was fine. The food on the first day sucked, that I agree with. Second day, the food was better. On the third day, the breakfast was also better. In my opinion, the food was, generally, alright.
Some of you might say that the student leaders did not do work. Some of them were quite bossy, and scolded us while they themselves stood aside slacking, but there were some who were alright. The trainers didn't allow the student leaders to help us, because they said that we had to "learn to solve everything ourselves" and to be independent. Yet, a few student leaders actually disregarded this and helped us. The camp is supposed to train us for the army or something, though I'm not satisfied with the whole camp in general.
And we were really lucky to get the bunks. I saw the tents and the A-huts and thought, "I can't believe we got so lucky." The tents and the A-huts didn't have a proper floor, just the mud and grass below. They also didn't have beds, and the tents were extremely dirty and full of insects. Appreciate that we got the bunks, instead of complaining. If I'd had to sleep in the tents, I would have been even more negative toward the camp. The bunks were quite comfortable and relatively clean. I pity the students who had to sleep in the tents and A-huts.

The point is, even if you pai9d with edusave, it wasted like 50% of it already. This is still a waste. If you pay for trips like these each year, in which obviously the cost would increase, you could have $0 edusave after sec 3. Also, after all, money is still money right? Even virtual money. If you run out of edusave, you will have to pay using cash. I am just saying that the cost is really exaggerated. The trainers probably train like 10 camps a month. Thats about 100 students, in which they probably get like $30 for each student. The food maybe just cost $20 and the lodging is like $5? The Sarimbun Scouts who are in charge probably earn a lot from this.
I conclude my point.
PS: The topic of Sarimbun Camp fees is now hotter than the topic of ANGLES

No, I don't think that the camp was unfair. We were actually very lucky that we didn't sleep in the tents. If we had actually slept in the insect-infested tents, then I would be ranting about it on the blog, but instead not only did we stay in the dormitory's, we also managed to SKIP THE MUD POOL (The best part of the camp).
Oh and about the cost, we are not just paying for food. We are RENTING the camp facilities for 2 days and the some of the money has to pay for the trainer's salary too. Besides, didn't the cost come from edusave? You guys didn't pay with your pocket money did you?

Smiley.

Well, I sort of agree you know. I think they should hire cleaners(lol). Maybe not cleaners. Just trainers who help clean too. We paid $110 just to sleep for 2 days and have some fun and food and they charge us $110 and expect us to  clean up?? You know, the cost may well be more expensive and that further completes my point. I can stay rent a more comfortable room for just 40 bucks for two days. I could eat 3 McDonalds meals for the days and the cost won't add up to $100 even. Well, feel free to comment.

Just came back from camp. Really really mad at some student leaders. They tell us that we have to work but they themselves do not work. Secondly, we pay the camp for accommodation and food, but do they pay us for working for them. NO. really angry.

This is Wang Fan and I'm doing this because we all have to post on the class blog. I'll be posting about my bad day.
Today was a rather bad day for me. I:
1. Forgot about the science portfolio and didn't do it (read: did not have time to do it)
2. Got virtually anhillated by opponent in Set Game Competition today. XP guess I shouldn't have registered after all, especially since I was much of a liability to Sian Wen, who was unfortunately (for him) in the same team as me.
That's about all. For more go to http://crystalshadow.wordpress.com, my blog.

Lucky nobody out of our class reads our blog (except Mdm. Lim), OK, now u talk about ANGLES and how Gui An should not have won and Chun Jie (you know ----- JUST.TOO.YOUNG.) should have won. I would rather not voice my opinion on this. This is very dangerous, contesting the authority of the judges (THEY ARE SCHOOL TEACHERS). This may be seen as a form of disrespect. Like Gui An said, "Whatever you say, you cannot change the fact that I won." So guys, continue insulting (I am not necessarily saying Gui An should have won) but do keep it mind the consequences and probably think what impact you can actually make to change this.

I would like to address the anonymous person(okay,it's Raymond) on ANGLES.Gui An had a bigger impact on the judges, although it was the negative way.Chun Jie could express himself, but it was worse than Gui An.
Having a little kiasuism is okay and tolerable for this type of speech, but when he goes out and speak,it's going to be a failure among the crowd, due to what you had said. Having spoken kiasu examples of kiasuism isn't going to earn him credit in the outside world.Nobody talks like that when speaking plain english among the crowd.Your pinpoint lies in the fault that the criterion were not clearly stated well enough such that everyone could agree with the judges. This,I can understand well enough. This ANGLES event was not well-planned enough as the judges(or anyone else) had not clearly stated the criterion for we,the audience to understand.
I have taken my stand in this topic of ANGLES and I will close my speech on ANGLES from now(as it is quite overdue already). Now,on to today's topic.
In this 'modernistic' country like Singapore,we,the citizens, have been absorbed into a realm of technology and nothing else by the 'whirlpools of doom',namely, electronics.
I would like to point out that I had some information from my mother that the people in the oldern days did not rely on any type of technology available to them.Instead, they had paper fans instead of air-cons,chatting with neighbours instead of watching television, playing computers,PSPs,Wiis etc... .This type of living was abundant in the oldern days, but what has happened to our common folk now?Are they too absorbed into using technology to continue their life? This,I would like to explore deeper into.
As you know, today,we have gone through a worksheet on British children who watch television more nowadays. This phenomenon did not happen at all during the 1970s,or the 1980s.Having technology was the root of evil being sent/transferred to us to have a world full of technology.Although I disagree with the fact that no televisions, computers etc. was good,I also disagree with the fact that too much technological stuff was good too.Instead, during the modernisation era, having a communication system via all ways of telecommunication and other forms of communication, was the minimum(or maximum) the modern era should have.Even so,the extremes of this case have bad consequences to us.We,the citizens of this modern world, should try not to rely too much on technology and cut down use of electronics. This is my point.
Now,I will elaborate.Imagine your teacher asking you a question,"What is 20 to the power of 9 times 30 to the power of 7?"Maybe some people could answer this mentally, but most of you can't.That's why we,the humans, have invented a calculator to help us solve this problem. What's the answer? At first, your reaction was scratching your head or even banging it on the wall, but your next reaction would be to take out a calculator and find that the answer was 1.119744 times 10 to the power of 22.(which I had found out with my calculator). This might be a good usage of the calculator.
However, imagine your teacher asking,"What is 5 times 2?"This is so easy, you wouldn't need a calculator at all! However, some people who are so addicted to technology will type this in the calculator, find the answer and shout,"The answer is 10!"(I counted it mentally,as it was so easy)These type of people are a bunch of technological maniacs who rely on it everyday for every use.
Secondly,if people could type compositions out, nobody would care about writing at all, which will decrease your skill of writing. How did the early Mayans or the Egyptians do business with others?Did they use typewriters or computers, type the proposal and print it,then submit to the chief(or whatsoever)? That's a bad influence of technology and a bad habit of not writing on paper. That is a case I will not tolerant(unless the teacher asks me to do so).
I have ended my point and given examples of daily use of technology. If you have any queries or comments which you feel are important, please address me personally at neo_jia_hao@hotmail.com .Alternately, you can address me via my blog, which is http://www.xeniarawks.blogspot.com/ .All queries or comments are welcome and I will try to reply ASAP.Thanks for reading this attentively and hope you take a stand on this issue.
(BTW:Don't post on the CBOX.I don't read that often.I also forgot to tell Raymond that 3moDuDe is Alvin. That's all,FOR NOW>.<)
